The History

The Day of Good Deeds is a global event

which unites people from 93 countries to do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet. Since 2007, millions of people from thousands of organizations and businesses have come together each year to volunteer and do good deeds. In short, the Day of Good Deeds is an annual tradition of good deeds. All over the world, hundreds of thousands choose to volunteer and help others by putting into practice the simple idea that every single person, large or small, can do something good to improve the lives of others and make a positive difference in the world

The Vision

The Day of Good Deeds was launched in 2007 by businesswoman and philanthropist Shari Arison. It was introduced and organized by the non-governmental organization Ruach Tova, which is part of the Ted Arison Family Foundation, the philanthropic branch of the Arison Group. “I believe that the circle of good will grow worldwide when people think good, talk good and do good. The Day of Good Deeds has become the leading day of giving and again this year, individuals, school children, students, soldiers and employees of many companies will participate in the annual Day of Good Deeds with the goal of doing good for others,” says Shari Arison.
