Our partner is a non-profit organization committed to ensure the recovery and sustainable management of depleted sea turtle populations in Costa Rica since 1986. The project aims to study the habitat of different turtle species by capturing and studying their movements and feeding habits in water. As Volunteers play an important role in monitoring a 7 km stretch of Caribbean beach, they are looking for Volunteers at turtle hatchery project in Costa Rica.

TASKS
- Nightly patrols alongside trained biologists looking for nesting turtles in order to relocate the eggs.
- Monitoring the hatchery and releasing baby turtles.
- Beach cleaning.
REQUIREMENTS
- Respect and love for animal nature and its environment
- Enthusiasm and interest in applying and developing practical knowledge in the context of everyday life in Costa Rica.
- Robust health and capable of working under basic conditions.

At regular intervals, we as well as the project partners expect a short documentation of your project results and progress.
Evaluation
At the end of the project a feedback round takes place and the project work will be evaluated together with all participants.
