AMAIDI uses the term “hands-on<\/a>” for projects where additional labor (hands) is needed. Volunteers provide their workforce free of charge in order to support activities of the social organization. Typical examples include food preparation in a soup kitchen, cleaning of the green areas, support of a summer festival with service staff, packaging of goods in the wardrobe, renovation and painting work by laymen.<\/p>\n

These forms of projects are excellent for so-called social days, f.e a 24 hour assignment in a social organization. In most cases, projects are ongoing and they can not be carried out remotely. The impact of these projects is rather low.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
