Next Marketplace Good Business RBK
The “Marktplatz Gute Geschäfte” (Good Business Marketplace) brings together companies and non-profit organizations from the Rheinisch-Bergisch district and enables cooperation to be initiated at eye level. In a speed-dating session, the partners exchange ideas for an hour and weigh up a possible partnership. Payment is not made in money, but by means of four possible exchange currencies: Know-how, manpower and time, networks as well as material and work equipment. Participation is free of charge for all participants. You can find out more about this in the flyer or under the Marketplace Good Business method.
Special incentive: Our main sponsor, the Dr. Jürgen Rembold Foundation, will award a prize for the most successful cooperation among all participants of the marketplace.
Course of the event
On the day of the event, the participating companies and nonprofits meet for the first time. A gong sounds to signal the start of the one-hour negotiation phase, during which the participants engage in a speed-dating process. The participants have a free hand in negotiating the engagement agreement, with only one rule: money is taboo.
Instead, payment is made in one of the four “exchange currencies. “Brokers” are on hand to help bring suitable partners together or to initiate promising agreements. A “notary” seals the agreement in writing.

Impressions from the last “Marketplace
On September 18, 2019, around 80 people from politics, business and the community from the Rheinisch Bergisch district took part in the first “Marketplace of Good Business”.
This took place in the premises of Schloss Eulenbroich in Rösrath. Photos of the Marketplace 2019 can be found here.
Within the one-hour “speed-dating”, a total of 35 engagement agreements worth around 56,000 euros were concluded between 17 non-profit organizations and 14 companies.
The most fruitful cooperations will be awarded with a special prize by the Dr. Jürgen Rembold Foundation.
